Resolution!

Ok, so, last Thursday the aparment managers had someone from Chem-Free Exterminating out.  (Funny name, considering they DO in fact offer the tradition fumgation.  But I digress.  They found that the termites can be treated with a product called Tim-Bor, which is pretty safe.  Granted, Mina’s not allowed to chew on the door frames, but really, she doesn’t do that anyway!

It’s a type of boric acid that gets injected into the wood.  That’s it.  Nothing all over our furniture or in the carpet.  I should be able to go around when they’re finished and wipe off the surfaces, just to be sure.  But yeah, it’s not an en-masse chemical dump.  AND it’s really not a super scary chemical.

They’ll only need to be in the house for an hour or 2 and we don’t even need to leave!  No packing up food, no evacuating the house.  Huzzah!  They should be able to get it done sooner rather than later.

So, it looks like we’ll be staying where we are for now.  That’s good.  I hate moving.
