The Big Par-tay!

(I’m working my way backward here, before I have to skip ahead to our trip!)

Saturday was great! The weather was nice (a little chilly now and then, but better than super hot.) The food was great (at least I thought so!) and the cake was both delicious and gorgeous. (Thanks, Beckers!)

That’s really the extent of what I have to say about the party. A good time seemed to be had by all. Mina didn’t have any real meltdowns. She was kinda tired and crabby towards the end, but nothing too serious. She was even fairly social and wandered away from Daddy and me to visit with other people.

She REALLY enjoyed her cake:

She received some wonderful gifts! Everyone was very generous and creative and we didn’t get any duplicates (except for the sushi, but we’ve decided she actually does need two sushi kits. How else can she make sushi for both mommy and daddy?)

Now I need to get to writing thank-you notes! Maybe I’ll bring them with and do them on the plane, while Mark and Mina sit and watch Jet Blue’s fantastic in-seat entertainment.

I wonder if they get Noggin?
