Captain Kidd’s
Ok, so you all know my favorite fish place out here (well, one of them. Dad knows the other one.) Captain Kidd’s down in Redondo Beach. Yum. Well, Mark, Mina, and I decided last weekend that we needed some fish. So yea merrily we went.
*gasp*
CLOSED! They are NEVER closed. NEVER. Turns out the health inspectors shut em down for… well, let’s just call it one of those “unmentionables.” The kind all restaurants have. Seriously. All of em. Even the clean ones. Yeah. Well, the owner had put a sign on the door that made it sound like they were just closing for good.
Fast forward almost a week and I finally get around to looking up to see if I can find anything about it online. Local reviews, etc. Are they gone for good? There will be tears shed, if that’s the case. I mean that. Anyway… I stumble upon one of the sillier restaurant reviews in a while. And it’s strictly for its bad grammar/spelling.

06/16/2008So we heard rave reviews about this place…but I felt it was seriously lacking. You did get to walk the line and pick your fish fresh and tell them how you want it cooked. Your choice of side were limited and not worth the price. I watched the guy poor salad from a bag…..definitely not fresh. The smell of fish wreaks from every orpheus. I found it hard to enjoy the food because the place was so dirty. It killed my appetite and I LOVE FOOD!!!
Every orpheus? Really? Are there that many Orpheuses? Orphei? Anyway, I had to share.
I’m still looking for information about it. I’ll update you when I find it. Later on today I’ll just call, cuz I could use some fish.
