Yay, Dad!!

So, yesterday, my dad went in for another step in the “bionification” process.  Yes, he’s turning into the Bionic Man.  200 years ago, he got a pacemaker.  Yesterday, he got a new hip.  I don’t know if it has little actuators and servos and circuitry and such, but I do know that’s he just that much more metal (ceramic?) than he used to be.

Huzzah!  It went well and thanks to your good friend Mr. Morphine, he’s quite comfortable.  He’s even standing and walking today.  That’s pretty darn good.

Needless to say, we’re excited and happy and very grateful the surgery went well.
